The WAVE FM 965 Kiama NYE Sky Show

Presented by Destination Kiama & Kiama Municipal Council

The Kiama NYE Skyshow is being held on Tuesday 31st December at Kiama Harbour.

This family-friendly event is FREE and open to everyone.

Held in the natural amphitheatre of Kiama Harbour, the electric atmosphere offers live entertainment on the Hindmarsh Park stage, a carnival in full swing, an Eat Street with a variety of delicious food options to choose from, roving performers and one of the largest fireworks displays and laser shows outside of Sydney.

Bring your picnic blanket, family and friends down to Black Beach Reserve for the ultimate viewing experience. With WAVE FM 965 broadcasting from 6pm, the Kiama Sky Show will light up the night from 9pm with a synchronised playlist.

Road Closures & Parking

There will be road closures in place once again on Tuesday 31st December 2019:

Terralong Street
Closure from 2pm – 10.30pm between Manning Street to Railway Parade
No parking from 12pm midday

Closure from 4pm – 10.30pm between Railway Parade to Collins Street
No parking from 2pm

Shoalhaven Street
Closure from 4pm – 10.30pm between Minnamurra Street and Terralong Street
Strictly no street parking from 2pm

Exclusion Zone

Kiama Harbour will be an exclusion zone for the duration of the event, from 4pm – 10pm, for safety reasons associated with the Fireworks and Laser Shows. Boats will not be permitted to enter or leave the harbour during this time. We ask that you adhere to isolation areas and keep children under constant supervision at all times.

Accessibility

Kiama Municipal Council is committed to improving access and support for people with disability. The event offers an accessibility drop-off zone located on Shoalhaven Street, with access via Minnamurra Street. Please note, that this is a drop-off only zone and parking in this location is not permitted.

Accessible viewing area located at Black Beach Reserve adjacent to Shoalhaven Street.
NOTE: If you have specialised requirements, please contact the Events Team: events@kiama.nsw.gov.au prior to 10 December 2019 to allow appropriate solutions to be sourced.

Public Transport Services

Waste Wise & Smoke-Free Event

We’ve partnered with Sydney Water to provide water stations in Hindmarsh Park and Black Beach Reserve so we can help reduce plastic waste! Bring your own bottle to refill and keep hydrated all night long.

Where possible, all items sold by stallholders will be in environmentally friendly recyclable containers or wrap.

The 2019 Kiama Sky Show is proud to announce that the Gerringong, Foxground and Jamberoo Rural Fire Service Brigades will be at this years event as we celebrate and acknowledge their service to our community.

This is a smoke-free event.

From 4pm – 10pm enjoy delicious food at Eat Street presented by APP or visit Hindmarsh Park who also have an array of food options available.

From 4pm – 8.30pm PearlNoire and PearlEssence band will be playing in Hindmarsh Park presented by the Kiama & District Business Chamber.

6-9pm Live Broadcast by WAVE FM 965.

9pm Fireworks and Laser Show presented by Richard Crookes Construction and Kiama Coast Holiday Parks.

9.30pm Laser Show presented by Kiama Coast Holiday Parks.

10pm Event concludes.

The Kiama & District Business Chamber has your New Year’s Day activities covered! Think live music in Hindmarsh Park and lots of family fun! There’ll be a jumping castle, face painting, Thomas Train ride and the Bungy Jump!

Bring your family, bring your friends and celebrate the first day of the New Year. Activities kick off from 11am and conclude at 3pm.
