Spring

Summer

Surf, sand and summer. Nothing beats it. No matter how you like to spend it, the Kiama area is the place to be, boasting beaches, rivers and rock pools; our coastline has no shortage of swimming spots.

Escape the heat in the heart of the ancient Minnamurra Rainforest or check out one of our many natural wonders along the coastline.

Be sure to check out our beautiful boutiques, with everything from clothing to homewares you’re sure to find something you love.

Looking for something a little more exciting? Jamberoo Action Park, surf and skate lessons and horse-riding are just some of the things on offer for kids and adults alike. Events such as Kiama Sevens and The Red Hot Summer Tour prove there really is something for everyone.

Autumn

While the leaves are changing colour there are 1000 fun things to see and do.

Experience the magic of the continent with our Coast Walk stopping at any number of local cafes and restaurants along the way. Get a feel for our relaxed vibe with local art and music on offer almost everywhere you look.

Festivals range from music to the arts with the Kiama Jazz and Blues, K.I.S.S. Arts and Gerringong Surf & Music Festival taking centre stage.

Our abundant coastline has many wonderful fishing spots to cast a line, or take to the seas with our charters. If you’re feeling competitive check out the annual Blowhole Big Fish Classic.

Don’t miss our regular markets to enjoy the food, meet some locals and stock up on special keepsakes and fresh produce.

Winter

Winters here are busy and fun. However it also offers a chance to indulge and unwind — all things massage and pampering please! Our favourite thing to do? Rugging up, grabbing a coffee or tea and go whale watching. Maybe you watch from the comfort of your holiday home or from our land-based whale watching platforms in Minnamurra or Gerringong. Or head to a restaurant with a view — you may get lucky.

Wet Weather Activities

Rainy days are like nature’s permission note for all of us to sink into cosy couches and enjoy hot drinks, good books, blankets, and binge-worthy shows. But here in the Kiama area, they offer so much more.
