While a lot has changed since those first steam trains brought holidaymakers to the coast back in the 1890s, our beaches remain as timeless and alluring as ever. From north to south, these spots are sprinkled generously along our unspoilt coastline – offering families refreshing swims, castle-friendly sand or a world-class wave.

Epic Surf Breaks

It’s little wonder the area has been responsible for breeding a generation of professional surf athletes including Ali Day and Sally Fitzgibbons. Not that you’d know it of course – with the same laid back vibe and friendly wave for anyone who comes to visit.

In recent years, Kiama has become a beacon for a variety of high profile events – putting the area on the map and on the international boardriding calendar.

Ocean Rock Pools

Situated in beautiful positions along our coastline, our four tidal ocean pools are all unique and offer a safe and relaxing swimming experience away from the surf breaks. Or if you want to swim indoors, head to the Kiama Leisure Centre.
