The Historical Society warmly invites the local community to a special afternoon of film, reflection, and discovery at the Pilot’s Cottage Museum — an inspiring event designed to encourage deeper connection with both personal and local heritage.

Kiama filmmaker Wendy Saunders will present her documentary Finding Your Path, a thoughtful and visually rich exploration of slowing down and rediscovering meaning through nature, heritage, yoga, and the arts.

Following the screening, featured documentary participant Nancie Clisby holistic counsellor, educator, and workshop facilitator, will lead an immersive companion workshop within the historic Pilot’s Cottage. Through storytelling, reflection, and guided discussion, Nancie will explore how local history and family heritage intertwine to shape the paths people walk throughout their lives.

Producer and creator of the film, Wendy Saunders brings a deeply personal perspective to the project. After spending more than 20 years living and travelling throughout the USA and Europe, she returned to Australia to embrace a more authentic and grounded way of life. Her work now reflects her passions for eco-tourism, yoga, wellness, visual arts, filmmaking, and healing practices.

This unique event offers an opportunity to experience the museum in a new and meaningful way while connecting with stories of place, identity, and personal transformation.
