The Illawarra Folk Club is a non-profit incorporated association comprising local musicians, dancers, poets, storytellers and culturally minded folk!
One of the club’s signature events, FOLK by the SEA, is held annually in Kiama.
FOLK by the SEA is an intimate folk festival event featuring the sounds of folk, world, roots, dance, Celtic, bluegrass and gypsy music held over three days in the picturesque seaside town of Kiama, famous for its blowhole.
The ticketed event (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) features 50 artists from overseas and Australia in 100 concerts at Kiama Showground and surrounds. Enjoy an enchanting variety of music sessions right next to the crashing waves of beautiful Surf Beach.
This is the chance to get together with your mates and relax with world class music, right next to the sea, or why not become involved with the dancing, sessions or poet’s breakfast.
