Join Sue Eggins for a compelling morning as she shares the remarkable story behind the preservation of Barroul House. Over more than three decades, Sue and the Kiama Historical Society (KHS) fought tirelessly to save this significant historic building from neglect and deterioration.

Once allowed to fall into serious disrepair, Barroul House has since been restored and is now home to the welcoming Rubia Petal Café. Sue will recount the challenges, setbacks and eventual triumph that led to the successful heritage outcome — a battle that highlights the importance of community advocacy and the preservation of local history.
