What to expect

Culture comes alive in the heart of Kiama

Hindmarsh Park comes alive for Kiama Culture Fest with live dance, music, hands-on activities, family-friendly fun and flavours from across our community.

From Brazilian drumming and Bollywood dance to lion dancing, henna, African drumming and plenty to get involved in, there'll be something happening throughout the park from 11am to 5pm.

Kiama Culture Fest will be held on Saturday 10 October 2026 from 11am–5pm in Hindmarsh Park, Kiama.

Yes. Entry is free, with plenty of free entertainment and activities throughout the day.

Yes. Culture Fest is designed for all ages, with plenty for kids and families to see and do throughout Hindmarsh Park.

Yes. Local businesses will be sharing street food, flavours and dishes inspired by their cultural heritage. See A Taste of Culture above for the latest menus.

The Orry Kelly Stage program will be Auslan interpreted, with Uniting joining Culture Fest as our Accessibility Partner.

No general admission booking is required. Simply come along to Hindmarsh Park and enjoy the festival.

Hindmarsh Park is in central Kiama and within easy walking distance of Kiama Station, the town centre and surrounding parking. There will be a shuttle bus runnimg from Kiama Leisure centre to the Kiama Leagues Club between 10am-5pm. The last shuttle bus will leave from the leagues club at 4:40pm.

The main festival in Hindmarsh Park runs from 11am–5pm. Afterwards, catch a belly dancing show at Saltwater Café Kiama from 5pm or a Global DJ at By The Sea from 5pm–7pm.
