Area Jamberoo
The Lampshade Workroom not only makes custom lampshades, but also runs highly popular monthly lampshade making workshops in their home-studio, located at the end of a quiet country lane in the scenic Jamberoo valley. This is just a few minutes easy drive inland from Kiama, and 2 hours from Sydney.
Workshops are suited for complete beginners from the age of 16years.
Everything is supplied except fabric, which students can BYO or purchase on the day.
Yummy homemade morning tea is also included, and even though shade-making is quite fiddly work, the atmosphere is always relaxed and fun.
We guarantee you’ll be going home with a stunning lampshade you’ll be really proud to display in your home!
You can choose from a range of lampshade sizes and shapes, with prices starting from $135.
Your teacher is professional lampshade designer and maker Kate Malfroy, who has a background in upholstery, a love of colourful textiles and a passion for sharing her technique for this incredibly satisfying craft.
