Roselea Vineyard was established in 1998 in Gerringong on the South Coast of NSW. The vineyard is on a north facing slope overlooking Rose Valley and Werri Beach. The climate is mild without frosts or the severe heat of summer. Sea breezes provide for a longer ripening period for the grapes to mature. Harvest takes place from February to March.
The first vines were planted in 1998. Chardonnay, Verdelho, Chambourcin and Ruby Cabernet are grown in dark red volcanic soils. The grapes are estate grown and the wine produced is bottled locally in Gerringong. Grapes are grown without the use of pesticides.
Roselea Wines are award winning premium wines – soft on the palate with full fruit flavour.
The reds are light in tannins and aged in new and old American oak barrels.
The white wines are fermented cold in stainless steel vats.
Prior to viticulture the property produced beef cattle and was previously part of Miller’s dairy farm. The original dairy and homestead were located near the site of the Bella Char Restaurant at the Mercure Resort in Gerringong.
Wine Tasting at Roselea Vineyard is by appointment. The tasting room has views of Rose Valley, Saddleback Mountain and Werri Beach and displays the artworks featured on our distinctive wine labels.
Come and enjoy their country hospitality and relax with a glass of wine on the deck as you take in the beautiful country and coastal views.
