Australian Seabird Rescue

Description

Based in Wollongong and covering the Illawarra region and beyond, ASR South Coast was launched on 28 October 2005 under the leadership of Julie Dunn. Since then, the branch's profile and membership has steadily expanded, now actively covering the much of the coast south of Sydney.

Australian Seabird Rescue is a grass-roots community group with a passion for coastal wildlife rescue and conservation.

Australian Seabird Rescue was established at Ballina, NSW in 1992.The main species that are rescued include pelicans, seabirds and waterbirds, In 1998 ASR expanded to marine reptiles as well. The Australian Seabird Resuce also works closley with the National Parks and ORCA.If you see an injured bird or marine animal please contact ASR for assistance.
