Pottery at Old Toolijooa School
“Pottery at Old Toolijooa School” is an award-winning cottage-industry workshop. It’s on the site of the original school set up by Alexander Berry in 1871 for tenant farmers’ children. We make most kinds of pottery... mugs, plates, teapots, bowls, owls and pussycats, wombats, dragons, little stoneware animals.
Visitors are always welcome. Depending on the day, you may see pots being made, or fired, or glazed. Or just browse about in the display room, and enjoy the wide variety of finished items, for sale at what potters call “kiln-door” prices.
Open when? All day, most days, since we live and work on the premises.
And where? Right beside the highway, about 13 km south of Kiama. It’s a pleasant drive down here, but of course we do go out sometimes, so feel free to phone if you want to be sure.
