Terralong Street transforms into a winter playground for one night only. Expect live music across multiple stages, fire performances, hands-on workshops, family-friendly activities and a buzzing street lined with local food, shopping and late-night energy.

At the heart of this year’s festival is SPARK, a roaming fire and light experience designed to ignite wonder as day turns to night.

SPARK

At the heart of this year’s festival is SPARK, a fire and light experience designed to build wonder as the day shifts into night. Expect lantern-making workshops, a performance moment and roving fire spirit magic across the festival.

Open Street Stage

The Open Street Stage brings together major shared moments across the day, including community performances, music, dance, workshops and crowd-friendly entertainment in the centre of the festival action.

NextGen Stage

The NextGen Stage shifts with the day, starting with African drumming workshops and moving into silent disco sessions later on. It’s energetic, immersive and designed to keep the festival moving.

Experience traditional instruments, songs & rhythms for all ages.

1.45–4.45pm - Partner Carry Comp with Jones Beach Boardriders & Stoic Brewing
18+. Carry your teammate through a Finnish-style obstacle course. BYO belt and helmet. Safety is your responsibility.

4.00–8.00pm - Silent Disco with DJ Clayton Zane
30 min drop-in sessions

Creative Kids

Creative Kids is packed with colourful, hands-on fun for younger festival-goers, with activities that invite children and families to make, play and get involved throughout the day.

Wellness Zone

The Wellness Zone offers a slower pace within the festival, with yoga, breathwork and calming sessions designed to help people stretch, reset and recharge.

All festival activities are free, except for food, drinks, retail purchases, and any paid experiences hosted by retail stalls — save your pocket money to support our local businesses!
The festival will be held in Terralong Street, Kiama, NSW, near Hindmarsh Park, on a road closure between Collins and Shoalhaven Street.
There are no age restrictions. This is an all-ages, family-friendly festival! Please follow the rules of licensed venues and bring a valid ID if you wish to enjoy the bars and clubs.
No, the public space is an alcohol-free zone. However, local licensed bars and eateries will be open, some offering a special edition – Kiama Winter Pale Ale by Stoic Brewing! Security will be present, and if you are found consuming alcohol outside of a licensed venue, you may be asked to leave or have the beverage confiscated.
We aim to provide a winter event annually when funding allows, though the format may change.
Yes, local cafes and restaurants will be trading late and extending their dining areas onto the street for the event. They will be showcasing their wonderful fare and service on the night, and can’t wait to welcome you!
Yes, however we encourage you to dine out and enjoy the many cafes and restaurants in town. Please ensure you keep our town clean and use the public bins provided.

Yes, both Security and Police will be present at the festival.
Yes, there will be professional photos and videos taken at the festival, including social media content. By attending the festival, you acknowledge that the council may use these images.
Yes, prams and strollers are permitted.
Yes, you can bring a chair or picnic blanket. Please be mindful of others and pedestrian walkways when choosing a place to sit.
Winter in Kiama is a special time of year. While the day may bring sunshine and warmth, please prepare for cold conditions once the sun goes down!

Dogs are permitted but must remain on-leash at all times.

Getting Here & Road Closures

A few practical details to help you arrive smoothly and get home safely.

No Parking from 8am

Please follow detour signage, reduced speed limits and comply with onsite traffic personnel.

In addition to regularly scheduled services:

South Coast Line:
1 x train on standby between 11am - 3pm at Wollongong Station
1 x train on standby between 5pm - 11pm at Kiama Station

Bomaderry to Kiama increased services:
1 x 2 car shuttle train 11.30am - 10pm
6 min turnaround time at Kiama

Public buses are available, though routes may be affected by road closures. Please check Transport for NSW for current timetables and service updates.
Taxi and rideshare options are limited in Kiama. If you’re relying on transport after the festival, we strongly recommend planning ahead.

Event Shuttle Bus
If you do decide to drive to Kiama, park at Kiama Leisure Centre until full and catch the free shuttle bus operating back and forth for the event.

This parking lot will be managed by Jamberoo Rural Fire Service volunteers, who kindly request a $5 donation upon entry.

11.45am - First shuttle from Leisure Centre
8.15pm - Last shuttle from Leagues Club

Walking and riding into town is encouraged. Please use bike racks where available and follow event signage. Bicycles, scooters and skateboards should not be ridden through the festival area.

Accessibility Information

We want the festival to be welcoming and easy to navigate for as many people as possible.

Yes, the festival has been designed with accessibility in mind. Accessible parking and drop-off areas will be available for visitors with a valid permit.
The event precinct is largely on hard surfaces, with some soft ground areas nearby. Most areas should be accessible for wheelchairs, prams and mobility aids.
A Chill Out Zone sensory tent will be available throughout the event in partnership with Uniting. Please ask event staff if you need assistance finding it.
Assistant and working animals, such as guide dogs, are permitted into our festival space.

You will find fresh drinking water and shelter at the Chill Zone if you and your assistant animals needs to rest.
