Information for Destination Events

As part of our Tourism and Events Strategy, Destination Kiama is keen to hear from and work with Destination Events.

Destination Events are loosely defined as those events that attract people to our area, from outside our area. We are currently adding more clarification around this which will be loaded on to this webpage shortly.

Destination Event organisers are invited and encouraged to contact Keryn Calcraft or Peta Horner (PT Event Co-ordinators) @ events@kiama.nsw.gov.au

Whether that be in relation to checking the events calendar for date availability, discussing event promotion, packaging, ideas and/or partnerships.

Destination Kiama also offers Event funding, and if this is of interest please note:

  • Applications should be submitted at least six (6) months in advance of the event start date.
  • Please contact our Event Co-ordinators (Keryn and Peta) @ events@kiama.nsw.gov.au to discuss funding criteria, key dates and the application process
  • Applications for Destination Event funding are considered by the Tourism Advisory Committee, who then make recommendations to the full Council meeting. Please note that this process can take up to six weeks.
