All Welcome. WATER is a group exhibition by all the Resident Artists at Fern Street Gallery, celebrating everything water contributes to life. You will be taken on a journey into the joy, necessity and life-affirming aspects of water, interpreted by each artist in their own unique way. It can be easy to take water for granted, it flows on demand from our taps, our gardens and crops flourish with the help of the rain and we enjoy all things water-sport and leisure in our coastal living. With this exhibition, we take the opportunity to show our gratitude for this life-giving and preserving substance that we wouldn’t exist without. Enjoy a select and varied interpretation of the theme of WATER through painting, mixed media, photography and printmaking. The exhibition is open daily 16th April to 5th May, including every day over Easter. KISS Arts Festival Paper Cranes Workshop @ Kiama Library

Join artists Tim Rushby-Smith and Penny Sadubin to help make 1000 paper cranes for the upcoming KISS Arts Festival. The cranes will be used to decorate trees around the Black Beach area, where the festival will take place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April.  We are making cranes of different sizes (even some giant ones!), and we will teach you all you need to know about this Japanese Origami paper craft. You can take a crane home, but we would love it if you can help us towards our goal of 1000 cranes and leave some with us to hang at the festival too! This is a FREE activity with all materials supplied. No need to book - just drop in @ Kiama Library!

Anzac Day Service - Kiama

Kiama's Dawn Service will be held at the lighthouse on Blowhole Point at 0500hrs. Kiama's march will commence in front of the Old Council Chambers, Manning Street, Kiama. Veterans, Defence personnel, Schools and organisations to fall in at 1020hrs under instruction from the Parade Commander. Kiama's main service will begin on completion of march and will be held at the Memorial Arch on the corner of Terralong and Collins Streets. Medals to be worn for both services.
