Eat

Exploring a new place can be hungry work. But in Kiama, you’re never far from somewhere to sip or savour a range of refreshments. For starters, there are more than 30 cafés to choose from across the region. Whatever your flavour, you’ll find favour with the variety and location of our many venues!
If it’s a sit down meal you crave, grab a table for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner and choose from a long list of tasty options. There’s a meal to suit every appetite – from award winning Australian cuisine to vegetarian, Mexican, Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai, Indian, gourmet burgers, pizza or that holiday favourite: freshly cooked fish ‘n’ chips on the beach!
Kiama has a proud farming heritage and this is reflected through a strong emphasis on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. And why not wash it down with a drop from one of our Gerringongbased local wineries, microbrewery or whiskey distillery.
On Wednesday afternoons, be sure to head to Surf Beach, Kiama, and stock up on fresh produce from the Farmers’ Market. A delectable selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, breads, seafood, beverages, cheeses, dairy products and much more can all be found in this relaxed setting (we recommend you try the locally produced gelato!).
And for something extra, check out our hands on farm cooking experiences, cheese making classes or thriving Slow Food events.
With a bustling café culture, the freshest produce and unique experiences, there is plenty to tempt you from our local menu. The hardest part will be deciding what to choose!
