Destination Kiama Events Funding
As part of our Tourism and Events Strategy, Destination Kiama is keen to hear from and work with Destination Events.
Destination Events are those events that attract people to our area, from outside our area. These are events that are located in the Kiama LGA area, attracting significant attendees/participants and that are keen to promote our destination.
Destination Event organisers are invited and encouraged to contact our Event Coordinators with any questions or queries, whether that be in relation to checking the events calendar for date availability, discussing event promotion, packaging, ideas and/or partnerships ator on 02 4232 0444.
Destination Kiama also offers a competitive Event funding program. To submit an application, please click on the link below, complete the online application and send this to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note, applications from Destination Events are now required to be submitted at least six (6) months in advance of the event start date. Our Event Coordinators are available to discuss funding criteria, key dates, the application process or any other questions that may arise.
There are four (4) funding rounds each calendar year in February, April, July and September.
Closing dates for each submission period are:
1. Close of business, last Monday in January (for February meeting)
2. Close of business, third Monday in April
3. Close of business, third Monday in June (for July meeting)
4. Close of business, third Monday in September
We encourage applicants to read the Destination Events Funding Guidelines prior to submitting your application.
Applications for Destination Event funding are considered by the Destination Kiama Tourism Advisory Committee, who then make recommendations to the full Council meeting. Please note that this process can take up to six (6) weeks.
