 Minnamurra Rainforest Minnamurra Rainforest Centre

The Minnamurra Rainforest is situated in the Budderoo National Park which spans from Jamberoo and across to Upper Kangaroo Valley. The Budderoo National Park features several walking spots and spectacular waterfalls including Carrington Falls.  At the base of Jamberoo Mountain discover the award winning Minnamurra Rainforest. Featuring 4.2km of elevated and paved walking tracks, the rainforest is accessible to all ages. For those feeling fit allow 2 hours to complete the walk to the top where you'll be rewarded with a view of the magnificent Minnamurra Falls.  Further up Jamberoo Mountain Road you'll find the turn off to Carrington Falls. A short 15 minutes walk from Thomas’s place picnic area leads you to several lookouts including two that provide views of the waterfall dropping over 50m into a rainforest gully and the Kangaroo River.

 

Offering a variety of walks ranging from 2km to 8km, Barren Grounds is a bird watches paradise and encompasses the Illawarra Lookout.  Access is from Jamberoo Mountain Road, with trail maps available from the Kiama Visitors Centre.   

Seven Mile Beach National Park

Located in the lovely coastal Town of Gerroa 15 minutes south of Kiama. Seven Mile Beach National Park has easy access opportunities for swimming, fishing, picniking and walking amongst a natural setting next to the Seven Mile Beach. A large variety of birds and animal, the vegetation includes coastal wattle, coastal Banksia, Blackbutt and Bangalays.

Overlooking Seven Mile Beach National Park is the Kingsford Smith Memorial Lookout  which looks down to where Charles Kingsford Smith took off on an epic flight in1933. 

Trevethan Reserve on the Minnamurra River - Access is from the eastern side of the Princes Highway at The Village and just south of the highway bridge over the river. Formalised parking and amenities are planned for the area.

James Oates Reserve on Minnamurra River - Access into the reserve from Charles Avenue (almost opposite the Federal Street intersection). Ample parking and amenities are available within the reserve.

James Holt Reserve on Minnamurra River - Located at the northern end of Charles Avenue. Kiama Harbour - Access off Blowhole Point Road - This is a two lane ramp and adjacent to a tie-up jetty. Ample parking, a wash down bay and fish cleaning facilities are available.

Boat Harbour Gerringong - Access from Jupiter Street. Ample parking, fish cleaning facilities and amenities are available in the public reserve. Note - This ramp is unsuitable during large swells.

Little Beach Gerroa - Access off Burke Parade and across sand flats. The concrete ramp is often covered by firm sand. Unformed parking is available on the sand under the cliff face. No amenities located in vicinity.
